FAQ's

What is Challenge?
Challenge is a college student and young adult ministry. Our purpose is to connect people in meaningful ways (Col. 4:5, 1 Cor. 11:1, John 15:12), grow in our relationship with Jesus (Col. 1:9-11, Phil. 3:8, 10), and impact the world around us (Matt. 28:19-20).

How we fulfill our purpose?
Our aim is to support students in developing a heart for others, grow into disciples/disciple-makers, and to actively proclaim the message of Jesus Christ on campus and in their lives. To help students achieve this we focus on key disciplines including:

  • Discipleship- growing together in the Word, accountability, establishing a prayer life, evangelism, life-on-life

  • Worship- understanding why we worship Jesus, the different ways to incorporate worship in our lives

  • Ministry Opportunities- serving in the community, mission trips, active evangelism, leadership training, campus outreach events

  • Fellowship- living life with others, fun events, supporting the local church

Our Goal?
We are confident that God will use this generation to move in a mighty way! Challenge ministry is to be a catalyst, "challenging" students to become fully surrendered followers of Jesus (disciple). We see surrender & growth happen through discipleship. During the college years, our hope is to make disciples who make disciples. It is also the goal of Challenge to prepare young adults to respond to God's calling, to "Go into all the world and preach The Gospel to everyone" (Matthew 28:19-20) -- going across the street or around the world. When students graduate, our ultimate goal is to see them continue making disciples where ever they may be and to remain active, serving members of their local church community.
